Would you stay at this Airbnb that has the most micromanage-y rules possible? One person vented their frustration about this very problem to r/mildlyinfuriating. It is just mildly infuriating, after all, these rules aren't the end of the world. But these rules are weirdly specific, and they would definitely be annoying to someone who's just trying to relax on their vacation!

    One commenter added that some tap water is technically safe to drink, but can upset your stomach if you aren't accustomed to it. I mean, I guess so, but it's written pretty ambiguously.

    My guess is that people have left food in the fridge in the past and it stunk up the house. But that should be on the Air BNB host to clean the kitchen, no?

Seriously though.. how does one write that down as a rule while holding a straight face. It has to be a joke. Also, how would they even know if you kept food in the fridge for longer than 16 hours? Also, what's the point of having a fridge if you can't store food in it? That's kinda the entire purpose of a fridge.

Usually I'd be somewhere for one, maybe two nights in and out for work, and there's a $200+ cleaning fee, but also I was expected to clean. There is one specific hotel I stay at next to an mlb baseball stadium that lists their rooms at 1/2 price on Airbnb, and that is the only thing I will use it for.

    There have been lots of examples in recent years of AirBNB owners charging crazy high prices just for room cleaning! It's enough to make anyone return to the old ways of hotels, where you only get charged if you steal every towel and demolish the room while you're at it.

I've had 2-night stays listed as $90 a night, but the total comes out to like $350 because of admin and cleaning fees. It's especially ridiculous because the places with the most exorbitant fees have insane rules like in the OP, so why tf do they need to charge so much to clean the place when the guests are expected to do so?
